This gift box contains both a rose quartz facial massage roller and rose quartz gua sha.
Facial massage rollers are designed to reduce puffiness by stimulating lymphatic drainage. The large end can be used on the forehead, cheeks and neck while the small end is perfect for the eyes and upper lip. They are especially good when used cold from the fridge to encourage blood flow and can effectively stimulate acupressure points rather than pressing with your fingers.
These rollers may be used to massage a favourite facial oil into the skin or slowly rolled over bare or moisturised skin. Use your roller anywhere on your body as a relaxing treat. I have used mine to sooth tired muscles, shoulder knots and found that they are incredible rolled across the soles of my feet at the end of a long day.
I have also found the rolling action a lovely way to edge into a meditation, clear the mind and allow the energy of the crystal to lead the way.
Gua sha are a versatile tool to relax the face, used to promote blood flow, reduce inflammation and stimulate acupressure points. Perfect to sooth tension in our shoulders, neck, jaw and temples in particular, and to relieve stress related chronic pain and headaches.
Best used with your favourite facial oil, hold almost flat at a 20° to 30° angle in one hand and gently press a finger of the other hand to hold the skin in place as you gently glide the gua sha upward or outward.
Sweep slowly up the neck from shoulders to ear, collar bone to throat, upper back to hair line; use the notched side from chin to ear; long side from nose to front of ear, under eye from nose to temple; notched side across brow line and long side from brow to hairline. Repeat each action a few times and use the routine two or three times a week.
The notched side can also be used to stimulate areas of tension such as bridge of the nose, temples and top of the spine.
