Pendulums can be used to help us make decisions by asking questions with yes or no answers. I hold my pendulum quite close to the top, with the chain wrapped a couple of times around my index finger and dangle it in front of me. Find a way to hold it that feels comfortable for you.
To establish how your pendulum will swing in answer to a question, first ask a clear simple question, like ‘Am I wearing black trousers?’, (assuming you are) and the pendulum will begin to move to and fro, side to side or clockwise or anti-clockwise. Note the movement as a Yes. Then repeat with a No question such as ‘Am I wearing pink trousers?’, to discover the motion which indicates a clear No, for you.
I have dowsed to discover past lives or simply places to visit at the weekend. Using maps or books can help us ask more complex questions, simply by holding the pendulum over it as you form the query in your mind. Finally, pendulums can also be used like dowsing rods to discover water underground as well as earth energy lines known as leylines. Enjoy.
NB. The chain is around 28 cm long, which is NOT included in the measurements above.
