What is Crystal and Mineral Energy?
There are over 3000 known minerals on our planet. Some form in a single place while others are found on almost every continent. Many are millions of years old, while others have formed relatively recently and some came to earth as meteorites. Many minerals have the same chemical composition but due to their unique formation sites, manifest a huge diversity in colour and form. Others are more complex and variable, each with a unique structure. The very atoms of their composition vibrate at their own frequency.
Crystals and minerals were venerated by our ancestors and have been used in rituals as tools for change for many millennia. Each has innate properties, just as different herbs are made up of compounds that affect us in particular ways. By wearing or holding a crystal or mineral, we experience more than just its touch or weight; there is an additional sensation or presence, like the experience of hugging a tree, which is its energy or vibration. It is the very structure and colour of each mineral that emanates its signature vibration; all matter is a manifestation of energy, chi or life force.
Sometimes this energy can be experienced as a feeling similar to a light electrical charge, or a rush of light, warmth or colour. Sometimes, this experience can be visual. The natural geometry of our chosen piece, its chemical structure, colour, and the energy we feel in its presence, combine to stimulate a transformation in our body, mind and space.
Whether we wish to create a whole new way of living, have chosen an affirmation to effect personal growth, or haven’t any clear idea of what we’d like to change, it is a profound moment when we experience the power of natural energy in our lives. Each mineral has a role to play, as both a beautiful object and as a force that impacts and interacts with our body’s innate energy. At this level, every thought is an act of creation.
In the words of the great physicist, Albert Einstein… “I didn’t arrive at my understanding of the fundamental laws of the universe through my rational mind… Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. Matter is spirit reduced to point of visibility. There is no matter…Time and space are not conditions in which we live, but modes by which we think. Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, determined by the external world.”
